Do you have a Reference Manual for the MSP430 C and the Crossworks IDE?

We are/were having a problem with a software UART and we traced it to salvo turning interrupts on and off and throwing the timing off slightly. We thought about this for awhile and is it safe to only disable interrupts that call Salvo services instead of all of them? Currently we only have one interrupt that calls any salvo services and that is OSTimer().

Yes, that is the correct approach and is precisely why Salvo 4 was released (to make it easier to do that).
