Which services affect a task's timestamp?

Please confirm this:
OSCreateTask(): Sets timestamp to current tick value.
OSStartTask(), OSStopTask(): Do not modify timestamp.
OSSyncTS(N): Sets timestamp to current tick value + N.

Hi Donald.

Correct.

Keep in mind that the timestamp feature is intended primarily as a replacement for / enhancement over simple delays. So if you plan on doing much beyond creating and delayTS'ing the task -- like explicitly starting and stopping it -- you will have to manage the timestamp explicitly in order to get the periodicity you expect.

I'll have to take a closer look at the TS behavior to better understand the impact of OSStartTask() and OSStopTask() on a delays with timestamps.
