Hello.

microVision2's Browse Information feature can be used to quickly obtain symbol information in your application, and also to navigate through your project.

Since Salvo uses lots of symbols (e.g. SYSI for projects compiled in microVision2 for 8051 targets), this is a very useful feature.

To use it, open a Salvo project (e.g. salvo ut u1 u1free.Uv2), select "Options for Target 'Target 1'", select the Output tab, and click on the Browse Information check box. Then rebuild your project.

Once your project has been rebuilt with Browse Information, you can place the cursor over a line in source code (e.g. over the call to Init() in salvo ut u1main.c), hit F12, and then (if applicable) a window will pop up, showing you the current definition for the symbol / macro you're interested in.

We will have "Browse Information" selected in the microVision2 projects in all future Salvo for 8051 releases.
