Hi, I am preparing the stage for a new project using this time PIC16F87. The task is to read PS2 keyboard and Mouse and to pass data I2C set as a slave to another micro. So the question is can I use Salvo lite with this chip??? and if yes then for such "simple" task this approch would be a good idea??? It there is in Salvo any build in functions for using I2C just let me know....

Thanks

TIco

Salvo will work with that chip.

We do not provide I2C functions -- that is usually provided by the compiler vendor.

There is plenty of Flash and RAM to run Salvo on an 'F87. This Application Note may give you an idea of what can be done in an even smaller chip: http://www.pumpkininc.com/content/doc/appnote/an-6.pdf

Tutorials tu5 and tu6 in every Salvo distribution show how to do interrupts with Salvo.
