Libraries with PICC v8.00 PL1

Libraries with PICC v8.00 PL1

Postby Nado » Fri Apr 05, 2002 2:00 am

I can't get my program to compile with the slp42Cab library using PICC v8.00PL1. It keeps giving this error:

Error[000] SALVOINCsalvolib.h 581 : #error: undefined compiler (OSCOMPILER) -- aborting.
Error[000] SALVOINCsalvo.h 1188 : Cannot open include file "portuser.h"

This is my salvocfg.h:
#define OSUSE_LIBRARY TRUE
#define OSLIBRARY_TYPE OSL
#define OSLIBRARY_CONFIG OSA
#define OSLIBRARY_VARIANT OSB

Is this because I'm using v8 of the compiler, or do you think I'm screwing something else up?

Thanks.

Hi Nado.

Looks like the new v8.00PL1 PICC compiler has a few things missing or changed relative to the v7.87PL2 ... Matt @ HI-TECH emailed me that the symbol HI_TECH_C is missing from v8.00PL1, and that's what's causing the problem.

In the meantime, please add

code:
#define OSCOMPILER OSHT_PICC
#define OSTARGET OSPIC16

to your salvocfg.h ... that should fix it.

For Salvo users with PIC12/PIC17/PIC18 projects, set OSTARGET in your salvocfg.h above to OSPIC12|17|18.

Once PICC v8.00PL2 is out, you should be able to remove these two configuration files from your projects and have them compile successfully.
