newbie - USART

For issues specific to TI's MSP430 line of ultra-low-power microcontrollers, including compilers (e.g. Quadravox AQ430), IDEs (e.g. IAR Embedded Workbench) and development tools (e.g. TI MSP-FET430 Flash Emulation Tool).

newbie - USART

Hi aek,
I'm really a newbie, so I have a lot of problem to figure out how all the things work together.

I would really appreciate if you could send me the code for the USART that you use for the CubeSat kit. This would be a good tutorial to start using salvo with MSP430 peripheral and interrupts (..and I also really need it).

Next, can I use timer freely? Wich one?

My best regards

Pezzino

Hi Paolo.

Send an email to support and we'll email you the USART code.

You can use any timer you want -- Salvo's only requirement vis-a-vis timers is that you call OSTimer() from somewhere in your code at the rate that you want (e.g. 100Hz).
