TU6 and IAR 2.21B

For issues specific to TI's MSP430 line of ultra-low-power microcontrollers, including compilers (e.g. Quadravox AQ430), IDEs (e.g. IAR Embedded Workbench) and development tools (e.g. TI MSP-FET430 Flash Emulation Tool).

TU6 and IAR 2.21B

TU6 crashes IAR version 2.21B on make. IF I comment out OStypeMsgP msgP; statement in void TaskShow( void )I just get an error. What's the problem?

No idea -- we only have v2.21A in-house.

Can you cut-and-paste what the error is?

When I say crash I mean the compiler just locks up. It does not give any error messages but "hangs" at 100% CPU usage on my pc. When I comment out "OStypeMsgP msgP;" the compiler runs and ends in a error message about OStypeMsgP msgP; not being there as expected.

Fixed the problem - update icc430.exe and xlink from IAR!

Great ... odd though, we run IAR v1.x, v2.x and v3.x compilers (MSP430 (1,2) and AVR (2,3)), and haven't seen that kind of trouble before ...

P.S. The manual you ordered will go out today.
