Newby Problem

For issues specific to TI's MSP430 line of ultra-low-power microcontrollers, including compilers (e.g. Quadravox AQ430), IDEs (e.g. IAR Embedded Workbench) and development tools (e.g. TI MSP-FET430 Flash Emulation Tool).

I'm a student of microelectronics and I'm trying to build my first Salvo application (like explained in the AN-15 application note for the MSP430 family) with the IAR-Kit. When I try to compile the I get the following error: Error[141]: #error 'Undefined Salvo test system (SYS*). Definition required' What did I do wrong ? Thank's for help !

Sounds like you're using one of the salvocfg.h's or the source files from the tutorial or example programs (instead of having created your own from scratch).

In that case, you'll need to define the symbol SYSQ for IAR MSP430 C builds -- do it under the project's Options -> ICC430 -> #define. Just make SYSQ equal to 1.
