Boy, I hate to pop your balloon but the 17Cxx is going nowhere. All of the new stuff is happening on the 16F midrange (useful for lecacy ports) and 18F for new designs. The 17, while having much nice stuff over the 16 is still is a banked mutt that has some real issues (try to cross banks while maintaining W).

After doing a couple of new designs using the 18F in HiTech C, don't know why anybody would mess with the midrange, let alone the 17.

Its very unlikely that the 17 will ever be a flash part.

Its all 18F for C and 16F for others. I like the 17 chips a lot but they are a dead end.

Yea, it's an old design. We haven't sold any of those boards in a while -- still have a few left.
