Emacs font decorations for Salvo words

I find it beneficial to have the Salvo function calls and labels standout a bit in the source code when editing with Emacs. Add the following to your .emacs file to enable this for yourself. Replace the face values with something differnt if you wish. To see the face values available, enter the command M-x list-faces-display.

BTW, my labels are always in the form of LBL_AAAA_nn. Modify the regular expression to match your label format.

<See my post on autonumbering salvo labels>

code:

;; Highlight Salvo function calls
(font-lock-add-keywords
'c-mode
'(("OS_*\([A-Z]+[a-z]+\)+" . 'font-lock-SpringGreen4-face)))

;; Highlight Salvo labels
(font-lock-add-keywords
'c-mode
'(("LBL_[A-Z]+_[0-9]+" . 'font-lock-AntiqueWhite4-face)))

Also, if you use emacs, take the time to install the ECB (Emacs Code Browser) package. We're talking speedmenu on crack! I've been using this for a week now and I'm totally hooked.

Enjoy!

Tom
