SD-CARD interface EFFS- Thin

For issues specific to TI's MSP430 line of ultra-low-power microcontrollers, including compilers (e.g. Quadravox AQ430), IDEs (e.g. IAR Embedded Workbench) and development tools (e.g. TI MSP-FET430 Flash Emulation Tool).

SD-CARD interface EFFS- Thin

Postby ankushdesai » Wed Aug 19, 2009 1:31 am

I am using EFFS-Thin to interface and use FAT32 with my SD_CARD. We are using MSP430F2618 on REV C development board. The example code provided with the EFFS and CSK is for x1612 series which uses uart0 and uart1 codes. Can we get the codes for MSP430f2618 which uses UCB0 and uses the corresponding APIs.

I tried modifying the CSK_UART0 code but after compiling the code it didnt work. The SD1 example code gets stuck in the f_initialize() function that means the SD-CARD failed to initliaze, can you provide me some details about wat changes should be made and where all the changes needs to be made. When will the code be available.
We are in urgent need. We have purchased 2 FM430 Rev D modules and we need support.

I think the critical code required is the UCB0 interface code which we cannt code until we know how is the SD-CARD being interfaced.

We're not ready to release that code yet, sorry.

However, the Pumpkin MSP430 libraries include UART code for the USC -- see http://www.pumpkininc.com/library/msp430/library-msp430-1.2.2-rc0.exe .

It wont create any problems with the EFFS file system library being provided , i mean there is no dependencies right??

Thanks for your reply

I believe that is correct, because the library does not have any SPI peripheral code compiled into it ... but I have not verified this.
